Pressure from outside your home can cause damage to the foundation over time. This pressure is usually caused by water present in the soil, which can apply significant weight to the outside of your basement and foundation walls. As foundations age, the materials used to build them can sometimes deteriorate and become less resilient. Steel brace reinforcements are placed directly against the interior wall of your basement.

They are attached both at the bottom to the footing of your home and at the top to the floor joist, which provides solid support for this steel beam. In most cases, the beam is positioned to sit flush with the wall or is grouted to the wall to ensure the greatest degree of support for outdoor walls.

They arrived on time, were extremely knowledgeable, and gave the best prices in town. I literally had 10 different quotes and no other other company came close to their quote. But not only was the price very reasonable, but they also seemed to know the most about the issue and had multiple different options to choose from. They also were able to start immediately rather than having to wait weeks and months for some of the other companies. Our house 100 years old, and the basement looks it. Everydry had waterproofed one wall right before we moved in and installed 3 I beams, but the other walls were allowing water to come in at an alarming rate. Marcos provided us with a thorough estimate broken down by cost of each item/phase, and even worked with us when the financing didn't come through on time (they were the least expensive of the estimates, and I believe you get what you pay for, but MBR is a true old-fashioned company and simply doesn't overcharge). MBR did all 4 walls including the Everydry wall, fixing what that company had done wrong (mold behind the sheeting, one I beam was installed incorrectly and was too short to be used, so thanks a lot, Everydry. Never use one of the big companies!) MBR reinstalled everything correctly and reinforced each beam the way it should have been done in the first place. In addition to the waterproofing, they dug a trench all the way from the back of the house to the street to run a drainage line, incorporating the new sump with an old one to work in tandem and drain far away from the house. Honestly, I've never seen any human work as fast as they dug that day! Now the weep holes are in place, the sheeting is up on the Michigan walls, and they installed extra panels further up on the wall. There were several areas where Miguel just did extra, because it should be done the right way. This is a new standard for contractors, I'll tell you that. And thanks for helping fix my refrigerator doors!! BTW, I'm posting this review in several places so people can find this great company.

They are quick to respond to questions and messages. Everyone is extremely kind, and knowledgeable. They came out on a Tuesday to start waterproofing and they were finished by Friday at noon. They let us know which days would be the noisiest, so that we could go in to the office and work. They covered everything I had in the basement to keep dust accumulation to a minimum. The workers were hardworking, they never played around, they worked non stop besides their lunch break of course. They were consistent with their schedule, they arrived and left at the same time everyday. The work also looks extremely good, these guys know what they're doing.
